Photography

Taking pictures of soap isn't easy. Last week I received this photo of my soaps, taken bij Aukje Bor-Stokroos. I wish I could take beautiful pictures like that.

I had been following Aukje's blog about a year when I met her nearly a year ago when I attended one of her herb-walks. Aukje is a fytotherapist and during a 2-hour walk she told us lots about plants, bushes and trees, their medical value and saga's and legends. I recommend her herb-walks to everyone, even if it doesn't have your particular interest. It's so much more fun walking through the forest and learning to look at herbs and trees with different eyes.

Last weekend I joined her again, this time in a different forest. Her husband André Bor took some pictures I'd like to share.

Kasparus' dark beer soap "bay rum"

Oils: olive, coconut, palm, castor, wheat germ, hemp
Liquid: Kasparus dark beer
Additives: oat meal, cacao powder
Scent: FO bay rum

Another dark beer soap, same recipe except for the fragrance oil and oat meal. I like the smell of the bay rum FO but it also still has a very distinct lye/beer scent which I don't really like. I hope it will fade.
